The Breen Gallery is situated in Breen Forest, the oldest oak forest in N.Ireland. It lies in the heart of Glenshesk, one of the historic Nine Glens of Antrim. Breen is taken from the Irish and means “The Palace of the Fairy Kind.” The Fairy Kind (“na sídhe”) are also known as the little people or leprechauns. The forest and therefore the gallery are under the protection of the Fairy Kind. The pre-historic Breen Standing Stone, forms the logo of theIrishARTGroup and is in the field next to our premises. Facilities at Breen include a gallery, a trade showroom, a purpose built framing workshop and a suite of offices.
