Its scenery and character” by Samuel Hall published between 1841 and 1843. Samuel Carter Hall (1800 – 1899) and his wife Anna Maria (1800 – 1881) compiled a three volume guide to Ireland in the years leading up to the famine. It is, ironic that they noted a significant improvement in the standard of life in Ireland since the 1830’s. The map is in near mint condition. Map Ref: 154
